About the band’s concert

This is an unprecedented event – the band KINO gathers after 30 years! The sensation of the

program is the real voice of Viktor Tsoi, digitized from the original multi-channel KINO

recordings. The band consists of two original bassists of different age groups – Aleksandr Titov

and Igor Tikhomirov, and an irreplaceable guitarist – Yuri Kasparyan. Drummer Oleg Shuntsov,

keyboardist Igor Vdovin and rhythm guitarist Dmitry Kezhvatov will also perform at the concert.

One of the creators and producers of the show is Aleksandr Tsoi, the son of Viktor.

The concept of the project – to demonstrate what the band’s KINO performance can take place

today, with a good modern sound and stage image. Most of the reproductions will be difficult to

distinguish from the original songs, but improvisations and new lyrics will also be used.

The two-hour concert will be accompanied by a specially created chronicle of video clips – an

almost full-length film consisting of graphics, animation, new and archival footage. Video, light

and music are synchronized into a full-fledged modern multimedia concert show. Viktor Tsoi’s

drawings, abstract cinematography of KINO covers, film chronicle, small documentary inserts,

animated shots of the band’s members – these are some of the themes that will form a visual

part of the performance.

This concert will be equally interesting for those who are lucky enough to listen to KINO live,

and of course, for those who haven’t even dreamed about it. In addition to voice from the main

films, real parts of the keyboard will be used, which are not always well heard in albums. “We

also use all the rare sound and music sketches discovered during the preparation of the

program”, - said Aleksandr Tsoi.
