Description
Eimuntas Nekrošius' theatre was not just about visuals but also sound. Music in his productions was more than a backdrop; it breathed, shaped atmospheres, and became an invisible yet essential character. His theatrical soundscape comes alive in a unique concert blending live orchestra, actors' performances, archival material, and exceptional video projections.
Held in two symbolic locations—Vilnius' historic St. Johns' Church and under the open sky in Nekrošius' birthplace, Šiluva—the event will feature compositions from his iconic productions by Faustas Latėnas, Mindaugas Urbaitis, Algirdas Martinaitis, and Andrius Mamontovas. Performers include the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra, actors Vladas Bagdonas, Viktorija Kuodytė, Gabrielia Kuodytė, and musicians like Andrius Mamontovas and Petras Vyšniauskas. This concert is a tribute to Nekrošius' legacy, proving that his theatre still breathes and resonates.
Children up to 6 years old can enter for free if they do not occupy a separate seat.
The event is organized by "Meno fortas" and the Lithuanian Theatre, Music and Cinema Museum. Producer – VšĮ „Creators76“.
